The Federal President of the Republic of Austria, Heinz Fischer, and his Wife, Mrs. Margit Fischer, will hold an official visit to Portugal from 11 to 13 April, at the invitation of President Cavaco Silva.
President Heinz Fischer and his Wife will be received, on the morning of 11 April, by the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva, followed by a working meeting between the two Heads of State and luncheon. The programme for the first day will end with a State Banquet in the Palace of Ajuda, hosted by the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva, in honour of the Federal President of the Republic of Austria and his Wife.
On 12 April, the President of the Republic will attend, together with the Federal President of the Republic of Austria, the opening session of an entrepreneurial Seminar, where business opportunities will be approached, as well as the strengthening of entrepreneurial cooperation between both Countries.
The programme for 12 April will also include audiences of the Federal President of the Republic of Austria with the Speaker of Parliament and with the Prime Minister who will later host a luncheon in his honour in the Palace of S. Bento.
The retinue accompanying the Federal President of the Republic of Austria on his visit to Portugal will comprise several members of the Austrian Government and a relevant entrepreneurial deputation.
