Meeting in Helsinki
The President of the Republic attended, in Helsinki, the Informal Meeting of European Heads of State, within the scope of the so called Arraiolos Group.
In the meeting’s first plenary session, the eight Heads of State discussed the “European Advantages and Interests in a global context”. “Tolerance and Combating Discrimination” was the theme of the second session which was attended by the Presidents of Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Finland, Hungary, Latvia and Portugal.
During an interval of the meeting, President Aníbal Cavaco Silva made declarations to the media.
