Visit to the vineyards
The President of the Republic visited, in Ferreira do Alentejo, the Vale da Rosa Estate, the largest producer in the country of dessert grapes a substantial part of which is sold in the export markets.
In addition to the packing, storage and shipping facilities, President Aníbal Cavaco Silva, accompanied by the Minister for Agriculture, the Sea, the Environment and Country Planning, Assunção Cristas, visited the Estate’s vineyards, planted on overhead trellises and protected with plastics and nettings.
