The President of the Republic received in audience, today, the nominated Prime Minister, Dr. Pedro Passos Coelho, and gave his approval to the proposal for the composition of the XIX Constitutional Government, with respect to Ministers and Secretary of State for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and Deputy Secretary of State to the Prime Minister, as follows:
Minister of State and for Finance: Vitor Gaspar
Minister of State and for Foreign Affairs: Paulo Portas
Minister for National Defence: José Pedro Aguiar Branco
Minister for Internal Administration: Miguel Macedo
Minister for Justice: Paula Teixeira da Cruz
Deputy Minister and for Parliamentary Affairs: Miguel Relvas
Minister for Economy and Employment: Álvaro Santos Pereira
Minister for Agriculture, Sea, Environment and Territorial Planning: Assunção Cristas
Minister for Health: Paulo Macedo
Minister for Education, Higher Education and Science: Nuno Crato
Minister for Solidarity and Social Security: Pedro Mota Soares

The President of the Republic set the date of the empowerment ceremony for 21 June, at 12.00 hours, in the Palace of Ajuda
