Meeting in Belém
The President of the Republic held a meeting, in the Palace of Belém, with young farmers from all the country’s regions, representing several sectors of agricultural and forestry activities, whom he later hosted for luncheon.
Prior to the meeting, President Aníbal Cavaco Silva delivered an address to the young farmers.
Following this, the President of the Young Farmers Association of Portugal (AJAP), Eng. Firmino Cordeiro, addressed his thanks for the opportunity of the meeting and handed the President of the Republic the Association’s medal, stating he would be proposing that the Institution appoint the Head of State as its Honorary Member.
