Opening ceremony
The President of the Republic attended, in Mar del Plata, Argentina, the Inaugural Act of the XX Iberian American Summit, and addressed a speech in the first formal session of the meeting.
In his quality of host of the previous Summit that had taken place in 2009, in Estoril, President Aníbal Cavaco Silva took the stand before the acting President of the Iberian American Community, the Argentinean Head of State, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner.
After the formal opening of the Summit, the leaders of Portugal, Spain, Andorra and Latin America attended a concert performed by the Iberian American Juvenile Orchestra.
At the closure of the event, the Argentinean President hosted a dinner in honour of the Heads of State and of Government and their spouses, in Mar del Plata.
