President of the Republic with the two decorated individualities
The President of the Republic decorated, in a ceremony held in the Palace of Belém, two entrepreneurs who achieved distinction in their industrial activities, with the Order of Agricultural, Commercial and Industrial Merit – Class of Industrial Merit.
Artur Alves da Silva Meneses, from Porto de Mós, Leiria, Chairman of the Meneses Group, founded and managed companies in sectors such as metallic coverings, thermoplastic compounds, transport, engineering, renewable energies and real estate.
Joaquim Ferreira de Abreu, from Vila das Aves, Santo Tirso, founded and chaired companies in sectors such as asbestos-cement, insulation, real estate, sports and leisure, investments and management.
