The President of the Republic attended the annual dinner of the Journalists’ Club, during which the Gazeta 2009 Prizes were distributed. The ceremony was held in the headquarters of the Caixa Geral de Depósitos Bank, in Lisbon.
Awards were distributed to Miguel Carvalho, reporter of the Visão magazine, with the Gazeta 2009 Grand Prize, for the chronicle “The secrets of Barro Branco"; to the fortnightly publication "Repórter do Marão", awarded the Regional Gazeta Prize. The Gazeta Merit Prize was awarded to João Paulo Guerra.
