The President of the Republic presided at the award ceremony of Honoris Causa Doctorates by Lisbon University, to the former Presidents General António Ramalho Eanes, Dr. Mário Soares and Dr. Jorge Sampaio.
This award took place in the ceremony of the Official Opening of the Academic Year and of the celebrations of the 100th Anniversary of the Portuguese Republic that was held in the Audience Hall of the Chancellery of the University.
