Exhibition ‘Republic and Publicity’
The President of the Republic opened, in the Palace of Belém, the programme of events commemorating the Centenary of the Establishment of the Republic, which runs between 1 and 5 October, with the Palace open to the public.
Organized by the Museum of the Presidency, the exhibitions “Meeting of States”, “The Time of the Republic” and “Republic and Publicity” were opened, respectively, in the Museum, in the Gallery of Cages and in the Nurseries of the Waterfall Garden, all of which will be open to the public until 30 November.
A concert by the Ancient Choral Singers of Porto University signalled the opening of the programme of the commemorations, that includes music and dance performances throughout the five days, visits to the Palace of Belém and its gardens, cultural shows, and educational and pedagogical events:.
On 5 October, the Palace of Belém will stage the traditional Solemn Changing of the Guard, with the presence of the President of the Republic.
