Ceremony at the Municipal Theatre
At the Solemn Ceremony Commemorative of the National day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities,, which was held in the Faro Municipal Theatre, the President of the Republic addressed a speech allusive to the occasion and awarded decorations to a number of individualities and institutions.
After the Solemn Session, those taking part boarded a train which took them from the Theatre, located in the area of Horta das Figuras, to the city centre, to partake of a luncheon in the Algarve School for Hoteliers, hosted by the Mayor of Faro, Eng. José Macário Correia.
