Speech in Faro
The President of the Republic presided, in Faro, at the Military Ceremony commemorative of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, which were attended by members of the three Branches of the Armed Forces.
The traditional march past of the military forces included, for the first time, a group of former combatants who had seen duties in several theatres of war and in international missions.
During the ceremony, President Aníbal Cavaco Silva addressed a speech.
