Note from the Presidency of the Republic

The Presidency of the Republic makes public the following information:

Several media outlets have run the news that the President of the Republic will exercise his veto rights in respect of the law which allows same sex marriages. The Presidency of the Republic clarifies that this news is totally speculative and unfounded relative to any decision that the President of the Republic may take in this respect, which shall only happen after the publication in the Official Gazette of the decision of the Constitutional Court concerning this issue, which has not yet taken place.
