Military honours in the Palace of Belém
The President of the Republic of Guinea Bissau, Malam Bacai Sanhá, began an official two day visit to Portugal, at the invitation of President Aníbal Cavaco Silva, with a tribute paid to Luís Vaz de Camões in the Jerónimos Monastery and military honours upon arrival at the Palace of Belém.
Presidents Cavaco Silva and Malam Bacai Sanhá met later after which they made declarations to the media.
