Appointment at audience in Belém

President of the Republic appoints the Secretary General of the Socialist Party as Prime Minister

After hearing the partiesd with Parliamentary representation and considering the results of the Parliamentary Elections held on 27 September, the President of the Republic appointed today the Secretary General of the Socialist Party, Eng. José Sócrates Carvalho Pinto de Sousa, to the office of Prime Minister.
