"Dido and Aeneas" in Belém

President of the Republic attends the last performance of “Dido and Aeneas" in the Palace of Belém

The President of the Republic attended, in the gardens of the Palace of Belém, the last performance of the opera "Dido and Aeneas", by Henry Purcell, in a production of the São Carlos Theatre Company with four shows opened to the public.
The performance of this opera celebrated the completion of the refurbishment work carried out in Garden of the Waterfall and the former bird sanctuaries in the Palace of Belém, officially opened by the President of the Republic in a ceremony held on 22 July, when the first show of this opera was performed.
