Ceremony in Heriot-Watt University
The President of the Republic was awarded the Honorary Degree in Doctor of Letters by Heriot-Watt University, at a ceremony held in what in the past was the Edinburgh School of Fine Arts, in Scotland.
Welcomed by the Chancellor of the University, Prof. Anton Muscatelli, President Aníbal Cavaco Silva received the Doctor of Letter’s symbols after a speech addressed by Vice Chancellor Prof. Andrew Walker. The President of the Republic addressed the University at the end of the ceremony.
