Visit to Aveiro
After having been welcome by a Guard of Honour of two of the Council’s Fire Brigades, President Cavaco Silva presided, in Aveiro City Hall, at the Commemorative Ceremony of the 250th Anniversary of its having been granted a city charter. The President addressed a speech on the occasion.
Later, the President of the Republic officially opened the Aveiro Fair and Exhibition Park and the Feast of the Parishes, and visited the pavilions on show.
