Anniversary of the Lisbon Zoo
The President of the Republic visited the Lisbon Zoo, on the occasion of its 125th anniversary and presided at the inaugural act of the statue of Félix Naharro Pires.
After unveiling a plaque alluding to the event, President Cavaco Silva viewed an exhibition relating to the Garden’s refurbishment works.
At the end of the visit he awarded a commendation of praise to José Garcês, illustrator of the books of the Zoo’s animals.
