Award of the Leya Prize
The President of the Republic attended the award ceremony of the 2008 Prize, which rewards unpublished novels in the Portuguese Language.
Murillo António de Carvalho, a Brazilian journalist, was the rewarded author, with the book “The Trace of the Leopard”.
On the occasion, President Cavaco Silva addressed a speech.
