PEN Club prizes
The President of the Republic attended, in the Portuguese Society of Authors, the ceremony where the Portuguese PEN Club Literary Prizes were awarded, in relation to works published in 2007.
Hélder Moura Pereira and Daniel Jonas (Poetry), José Vitorino de Pina Martins and António M. Machado Pires (Essays), Jaime Rocha (Fiction) and Francisco Camacho and Maria Helena Santana (First Work) were the winners of the various prizes awarded by the PEN Club.
President Cavaco Silva addressed a speech during the occasion.
