Meeting with the Cardinal Archbishop of Krakow
During their stay in Krakow, the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva visited the Mariacki Church, guided by Father Broiled Fidelus.
Later, the presidential couple visited Krakow Cathedral, where they were received by Cardinal Archbishop Stanislaw Dziwisz.
Next to the Fatherland Altar, Cardinal Dziwisz showed them the Reliquary of St. Stanislas, Patron Saint of the City of Krakow and of the Republic of Poland.
After signing the Book of Honour in Czartoryski Chapel, the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva visited St. Leonard’s Crypt, the place where His Holiness Pope John Paul II celebrated his New Mass.
