40th Anniversary of the ICL
The President of the Republic attended the Celebrations of the 40th Anniversary of the Islamic Community of Lisbon, which were held in the Lisbon Central Mosque.
During the Ceremony, the President was awarded the title of Honorary Member of the Islamic Community of Lisbon, after which he delivered a speech.
At the close of the ceremony, President Cavaco Silva unveiled a plaque commemorating the event and was shown round an exhibition of postage stamps allusive the Islamic presence in Portugal.
