Watching one of the opening performances
At the invitation of King Don Juan Carlos of Spain and Queen Sofia, the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva attended the inaugural ceremony of the world exhibition EXPO 2008, in Zaragoza, and took part in the solemn session and opening performances.
Following the inaugural act, and in the company of the Spanish Royal Family, President Aníbal Cavaco Silva and his wife viewed the light, colour and fireworks display organized especially in the enclosure of the exhibition for its inaugural ceremony which, this year, was held in the capital city of the Spanish Region of Aragon.
