Banquet on the occasion of the National Day
On the occasion of the celebrations of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and Portuguese Communities, the President of the Republic hosted a banquet in the Pousada de Santa Luzia, in Viana do Castelo, in honour of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Portugal, from whom he received ceremonial greetings. The event also included Ministers and high officers of the State.
After the banquet the President attended a musical performance hosted by the Mayor of Viana do Castelo, in Praça da Liberdade, as well as a fireworks display, held in the city’s riverside area.
