Arrival in Funchal
The President of the Republic began a visit to the Madeira Autonomous Region by addressing a message of greetings to the people of Madeira and Porto Santo, as well as to the natives of Madeira spread around the world.
On his arrival at Funchal Airport, President Aníbal Cavaco Silva was welcomed by the Representative of the Republic in the Autonomous Region and by the President of the Regional Government.
After receiving compliments from the local authorities, the President greeted the people of the archipelago, which he is visiting for six days.
