Meeting the users of the Centre
At the beginning of a number of visits to social solidarity institutions, the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva were welcomed in the Quinta da Tornada Therapeutic Centre, a unit pertaining to the Life and Peace Community, located in Venda do Pinheiro, Mafra.
After visiting the facilities, President Aníbal Cavaco Silva met with the residents and with the Centre’s officials, the prime objective of which is the recovery and reinsertion of drug and alcohol addicts, attended a presentation of a therapeutic programme.
