Visit to the county of Guarda
The President of the Republic visited the county of Guarda, where he attended a presentation of the Entrepreneurial Logistics Platform Initiative, presided by Dr. Joaquim Valente, the Mayor of Guarda County. On the occasion, President Cavaco Silva unveiled a commemorative plaque related to his visit to this Undertaking.
Following this he visited the São Miguel Institute, an educational and training centre headed by Canon Dr. Manuel Joaquim Geada Pinto.
Later, the President of the Republic took part in a working dinner with the Mayors of the counties in the District of Guarda.
