In the Pablo Neruda House Museum
The President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva attended a cultural event in the House-Museum of the Chilean author Pablo Neruda, in Isla Negra, located on the Pavcific coast.
The occasion included the official opening of an exhibition named “An Ocean of Cultures”, and a recital of Portuguese and Chilean poetry dedicated to the sea. Mrs. Cavaco Silva made a presentation of Portuguese poetry related to the sea.
The event continued with a visit to the House Museum and to its gardens, where the Chilean author and his wife Matilde are buried.
