Visit of Felipe and Letizia
The President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva received the Princes of Asturias, D. Felipe de Borbón and Letizia, in Beja, where the party visited the Church of Our Lady of Prazeres and the Diocesan Museum. The President and Mrs. Cavaco Silva then assisted, in the City Hall, to the presentation of the Keys of the City of Beja to the royal visitors.
Later, the two couples lunched in private in the Convent of São Francisco, in Beja, before departing to the Alqueva Dam.
