Tomar Polytechnic Institute
The President of the Republic presided at the inaugural act of IBM’s Centre for Technological Innovation, in the Tomar Polytechnic Institute, where he delivered a speech.
Ambassador Manuel Cansado de Carvalho
The President of the Republic received, in audience, Ambassador Manuel Maria Camacho Cansado de Carvalho, to whom he handed letters credential as Portugal’s diplomatic representative in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The President of the Republic enacted today the 3000th legislative bill since the beginning of his mandates, in March 2006.
New ambassadors
The President of the Republic received letters credential from the new Ambassadors to Portugal.
Visit to the Alfeite Naval Docks
The President of the Republic visited two Navy vessels and the School of Naval Technologies, in the Alfeite Lisbon Naval Docks, to attend the Distex (Disaster Relief) Exercise, which simulated a series of support operations in operations of civil protection and personal aid, on land, in immediate response to emergency situations resulting from natural catastrophes.

The President of the Republic received, in audience, the governing Officers of the Lisbon Geographical Society.
