The President of the Republic attended the forma funeral rites of Eusébio da Silva Ferreira, which were held in the Church of the Luz Franciscan Seminary, in Lisbon.
Roberto Azevedo received in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Dr. Roberto Azevedo.
Due to the passing away of Ernesto da Silva Ferreira, and after discussions were held with the Portuguese Football Federation and the person being decorated, the Presidency of the Republic decided to postpone the decoration ceremony of the football player and captain of the National Team, Cristiano Ronaldo, foreseen for next Tuesday, 7 January.

The President of the Republic will award Cristiano Ronaldo, football player and Captain of the National Soccer Team, with the grade of Grand Officer of the Order of Prince Henry the Navigator.

Meeting in the Citadel Palace
The President of the Republic attended the closure of the Annual Meeting of the Council of the Portuguese Diaspora, which was held in the Palace of the Citadel, in Cascais, with the presence of many councillors from the several continents together with personages responsible for political, economic and entrepreneurial affairs.
Granting of pardons
In the terms of the Constitution and the applicable legislation, the President of the Republic received today the Minister of Justice in order to consider the traditional seasonal granting of pardons.
