Visit to University
The President of the Republic visited the new campus of the University of Macau, and witnessed the signature of a memorandums of understanding between the latter and Lisbon and Minho Universities, for interchange of Portuguese and Asian studies, and of a protocol with the Portuguese company TechnoPhage concerning Chinese traditional medicine.
Meeting in the Macau Military Club
The President of the Republic held a meeting, in the Macau Military Club, with Chinese and Portuguese entrepreneurs, at a luncheon organized by the Luso-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Reception performance.
The President of the Republic visited the Portuguese School in Macau, where he attended a welcoming reception performance by the students, after which he delivered an address.
In front of the façade of the Church of St. Paul
The President of the Republic paid a tribute, in Macau, to poet Luis Vaz de Camões, laying a wreath on his tomb, in the presence of children and youths from Portuguese and Luso-Chinese schools on the Special Administrative Region.
Meeting in Macau
The President of the Republic held a meting, in Macau, with the Chairman of Banco Nacional Ultramarino, Nuno Fernandes Tomaz, and with a group of entrepreneurs from that Special Administrative Region.
Official banquet in Macau
As included in the programme of the visit to the Macau Special Administrative Region, the President of the Republic attended a banquet hosted in his honour by Macau’s Chief Executive, Fernando Chui Sai On, during which he addressed a speech.
Award ceremony
The President of the Republic awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Merit to the Chief Executive of the Macau Special Administrative Region, Fernando Chui Sai On, in a ceremony held in the Residence of the Portuguese Consulate General.
In Macau Government Headquarters
At the beginning of his visit to the Macau Special Administrative Region, the President of the Republic held a meeting with the Chief Executive, Fernando Sui Chai On, in the headquarters of the local Government.
Meeting with Li Keqiang
Included in the programme of his State Visit to China, the President of the Republic held a meeting with China’s Prime Minister, Li Keqiang.
With Zhang Dejiang
The President of the Republic encountered, in Beijing, the President of the Chinese People’s National Congress, Zhang Dejiang.
