Ceremony in River Diz Urban Park
The President of the Republic presided, in the River Diz Urban Park, city of Guarda, at the Military Ceremony commemorating the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, in which the three Branches of the Armed Forces took part.
Armed Forces activities
The President of the Republic visited, in the River Diz Urban Park, the area of Military Complementary Activities, exhibited there by the three branches of the Armed Forces, on the occasion of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities.
Concert by Rão Kyao and Teresinha Landeiro
On the occasion of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, which were held in Guarda, the foreign Diplomatic Corps accredited in Portugal presented compliments to the President of the Republic in a ceremony that took place in the City’s Museum.
New monument
A monument paying tribute to the City and inscribed with an epithet associated to Guarda – the ”5 F” (Fria (Cold), Farta (Bounteous), Forte (Strong), Fiel (Faithful) and Formosa (Beautiful)) – has been erected in a city roundabout, opened by the President of the Republic on the occasion of the National Day of Portugal.
Innovatory Company
On the occasion of the celebrations of the National day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, the President of the Republic visited in Vale da Estrela, the COFICAB Company, awarded the 2013 COTEC Innovatory Product Prize, and opened the Centre for Technological Innovation of this industrial facility.
Encounter in Guarda
The President of the Republic met, in Guarda, individualities which became distinguished, in Portugal and abroad, within their areas of activity.
Message to the Diaspora
On the occasion of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, the President of the Republic addressed a message to the Communities of the Portuguese Diaspora, which he recorded in Guarda Museum.
Guarda welcomes the President
The President of the Republic attended the Council’s Welcoming Ceremony, held in Guarda City Hall, which marked the celebrations of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities.
Raising the National Standard
In the beginning of the celebrations of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, the President of the Republic attended, in Luis de Camoes Square, in Guarda, facing the City’s Cathedral, the raising of the National Standard.
Arrival in the Ecolã factory
The President of the Republic travelled to the County of Manteigas, and visited the textile companies Ecolã and Burel Factory, in Amieiros Verdes, where he closely viewed the facilities and the various stages of the production processes.
