The President of the Republic sent a message of congratulations to the canoeists medalled in the European Canoe Sprint Championship, held over this week end in Racice, Check Republic.

Audience in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the leader of the Japan-Portugal Friendship Parliamentary Group, Sadakazu Tanigaki.
Gomes Freire Redoubt
The President of the Republic visited, in Oeiras, the Joint Command for Military Operations (CCOM), a body of the Armed Forces General Staff, recently transferred from Lisbon.
Decoration ceremony
The President of the Republic rendered tribute to a number of individualities and institutions concerned with Social Solidarity, in a ceremony held in the Palace of Belém, on the European Day of Solidarity and Cooperation between Generations.
The President of the Republic will denote tomorrow, 29 April, the European Day of Solidarity and Cooperation between Generations, with a ceremony during which he will distinguish a number of individualities and institutions whose work on behalf of the most fragile members of our society has been fundamental for our country’s social cohesion.
The following individualities will be decorated with different grades of the Order of Merit:
Audience in Belém
The President of the Republic received, audience, a Delegation from the Private Media Platform.
Audience to José da Silva Peneda
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the President of the Economic and Social Council, Dr. José da Silva Peneda.
Jens Stoltenberg received in the Palace of Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg.
Ceremony in Belém
The President of the Republic decorated the City of Santarém with the grade of Honorary Member of the Order of Freedom.
Ceremony held in Parliament
The President of the Republic took part in the Commemorative Ceremony celebrating the 41st Anniversary of April 25th, held in Parliament House, during which he delivered a speech.
