The President of the Republic visited, in Silicon Valley, California, the Plug and Play Tech Centre company incubator, where several young Portuguese are working on incubator projects.

Conference in Stanford
The President of the Republic visited the University of Stanford, in California, and addressed a conference on the topic “Portugal: the other history – links to the future”, in the auditorium of the Higher Business School.
President with risk capital investors
On the last day of the programme of his visit to the United States, the President of the Republic met, during a working breakfast, with approximately twenty Venture Capital operators, in other words, risk capital, who exercise their activity in Silicon Valley, in California.

Following on his visit to the United States, the President of the Republic met, in Washington, with North American Legislators, Mayors and Aldermen of Portuguese ascendancy.
Meeting with Portugueses
As foreseen in the programme of his visit to the United States, the President of the Republic met, in the Residence of the Portuguese Embassy in Washington, DC, with Portuguese staff employed in financial institutions such as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the Inter-American Development Bank and the North American Federal Reserve.
