At the beginning of the commemorations of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, the President of the Republic laid a wreath on the tomb of poet Luis Vaz de Camões, in Jerónimos Monastery.
Celebrating the National Day of Portugal, of Camões and of the Portuguese Communities, the President of the Republic awarded decorations to several individualities from the Portuguese Diaspora Communities and foreign citizens that will opportunely be handed to them.

The President of the Republic will decorate the following individualities and Institutions at the Commemorative Ceremony of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, to be held in Lisbon on 10 June next:
Ceremony in the Cascais Citadel
The President of the Republic presided, in Cidadela Palace, Cascais, at the award ceremony of the Prize for Entrepreneurial Innovation in the Portuguese Diaspora.
Presentation in the Faculty of Medicine
The President of the Republic attended, in the Faculty of Medicine of Lisbon University, the inaugural act of MedSim – Advanced Training Centre for Medical Teams.
Audience in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the Officers of the Portuguese-Angolan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Edmund Ho in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the Vice President of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Former Principal Executive Officer of the Macau Special Administrative Region, Dr. Edmund Ho.
National Team in Belém
The President of the Republic received, audience, the National Football Team before their departure for the Euro 2012 competition.
Boyko Borissov received in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the Prime Minister of Bulgaria, Boyko Borissov.
Fair in Santarém
The President of the Republic visited National Agricultural Fair, held in Santarém, in the National Exhibition Centre, where he viewed the products and equipment on show in the several open areas and stands.
