Compliments of the Diplomatic Corps
On the occasion of the National day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, that this year were staged in Lisbon, the Foreign Diplomatic Corps paid compliments to the President of the Republic in a ceremony held in the Palace of Belém.
Start of the Lisbon-Lorient Regatta
Included in the celebrations of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, the President of the Republic gave the start, in Pedrouços Dock, to the Lisbon leg of the Volvo Ocean Race.
Ceremony in Belem Cultural Centre
The President of the Republic delivered a speech and decorated a number of individualities and institutions at the Ceremonial Opening Session of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, which was held in Belém Cultural Centre, in Lisbon.

The President of the Republic presided at the Military Ceremony commemorating the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, held in Jerónimos Monastery, in Lisbon, where the three Branches of the Armed Forces were represented.
Ceremony held at the Monument to the Combatants
At the beginning of the celebrations of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, which were held in Lisbon this year, the President of the Republic laid a wreath on the Monument to the Combatants, in honour of the members of the Portuguese Armed Forces killed in action.

Celebrating the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, the President of the Republic addressed a message to the Communities in the Portuguese Diaspora, which he recorded in the Champalimaud Foundation, in Lisbon.
Ceremony in Galé Patio
As included in the commemorations of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, the President of the Republic attended, in Comércio Square, the raising of the National Standard on the Arch of Augusta Street, and took part in the Welcoming Session of Lisbon City Council, held in Galé Patio.
