Commemorative Ceremony
The President of the Republic presided at the commemoration of Póvoa de Varzim City Day, which was held at a ceremony in the City Hall.
Innovatory project
The President of the Republic attended, in Aguçadora, near Póvoa de Varzim, the start up ceremony of the first floating wind turbine, producing electric power, installed in the offing of the Portuguese coast.

Laudatory Ceremony in Porto
The President of the Republic took part in the Laudatory Ceremony to Dr. Vasco Graça Moura, celebrating his 50 years of literary life, which was held in the Cupertino de Miranda Foundation, in Porto, and where he delivered a speech.
Presentation of book
The President of the Republic received, in audience, actor Ruy de Carvalho, who presented him with his latest book, “Angels have no wings”.
Audience in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the President of the Foundation for Social Analysis and Studies of Spain, and the former President of the Spanish Government, José Maria Aznar.
Dinner in Queluz Palace
On the occasion of the State Visit to Portugal of the President of the Republic of Cape Verde, Jorge Carlos Fonseca, and Mrs. Lígia Fonseca, the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva hosted a dinner, held in Queluz National Palace, at the beginning of which both President Cavaco Silva and his counterpart delivered addresses.
