Decoration ceremony
The President of the Republic decorated, with the grade of Commander of the Military Order of Christ, Dr. Jorge Monteiro, who will be relinquishing his office as Consultant of the President for International Relations, to take office as Portuguese Consul General in Seville, Spain.
The President of the Republic addressed a message of condolences to the Family of the physician, academician and researcher Professor Nuno Grande.

The President of the Republic took part, together with King Don Juan Carlos I of Spain and with the Italian President, Giorgio Napolitano, in the closing session of the VIII COTEC Europa Meeting, held in Madrid, where he delivered a speech.
