Ceremony in the Palace of Belém
The President of the Republic empowered, in the Palace of Belém, five new Secretaries of State.
The President of the Republic addressed a congratulatory message to the President of the Italian Republic, Giorgio Napolitano.

The President of the Republic accepted the proposal put forward by the Prime Minister regarding the discharge of Secretaries of State and appointment of new office holders.
Community received in Lima
In the last event of his official visit in Lima, the President of the Republic met with the Portuguese Community resident in Peru, and hosted a reception in their honour.
Entrepreneurial seminar in Peru
The President of the Republic attended the closure, in Lima, jointly with the Peruvian Prime Minister, Juan Jiménez Mayor, the Portugal-Peru Economic Seminar, carried out on the occasion of his official visit to the country.
Lima Mayor paid tribute to President
On the second day of his visit to Peru, the President of the Republic was received in Lima City Council, where the Mayor, Susana Villarán, honoured him with the award of the City’s Medal.
The President of the Republic addressed a message of congratulations to the President elect of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro.
Meeting between Presidents
At the start of his official visit to Peru, the President of the Republic met, in Lima, his counterpart Ollanta Humala, with whom he held a meeting, after which the two Heads of State attended the signing of three agreements between the Governments of Both countries.
Portugal, FILBO’s guest of honour
The President of the Republic, jointly with his Colombian counterpart Juan Manuel Santos, attended the inaugural act of the Bogotá International Book Fair (FILBO) and the opening of the Portuguese Pavilion, Portugal being the exhibition’s guest of honour in the current year.
Seminar in Bogotá
The President of the Republic and his Colombian counterpart, Juan Manuel Santos, jointly attended the closure of the Portugal-Colombia Economic Seminar which was held in Bogotá, during the State Visit to Colombia.
