Meeting in the Citadel Palace
The President of the Republic received, in the Palace of the Cascais Citadel, Prince Albert II of Monaco, on the occasion of the Conference “Ocean Sustainability – Good Governance for the Sustainable Development of the Sea”, in honour of whom he later hosted a reception.
Committee received by the President
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the President and members of the Organizing Committee for the Celebrations of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, which this year will be held in the city of Elvas.
Audience in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the Speaker of the Madeira Parliament, Dr. José Miguel Mendonça, and the President of the Madeira Regional Government, Dr. Alberto João Jardim.
The President of the Republic addressed a message of congratulations to author Mia Couto, who has been awarded the 2013 Camões Prize.

Andris Berzins received in Belém
On the occasion of the Working Visit he is carrying out in Portugal, the President of the Latvian Republic, Andris Berzins, was received by the President of the Republic in the Palace of Belém.
Jeroen Dijsselbloem received in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the President of the Eurogroup and Minister of Finance of the Netherlands, Jeroen Dijsselbloem.
Trophy Award
The President of the Republic attended, in the National Stadium, the Portuguese Football Cup Final, and awarded the trophy to the winning team, Vitória Sport Club, from Guimarães, who won the match by 2-1 against Sport Lisboa e Benfica.
Audience in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in audience, the Chairman of the Portuguese-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, during which a presentation was made of the study “PortugalPlus – Investment & Export”.
Ceremony in Culturgest
The President of the Republic presided at the award ceremony of the “2012 Pessoa Prize”, which was held in the Culturgest Auditorium, in Lisbon, on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of this trophy.
The President of the Republic travels to Strasbourg and Brussels from 11 to 13 June next, where he will hold meetings with the officers responsible for the European Institutions and address a speech at a plenary meeting of the European Parliament.
