Raising the National Standard
At the beginning of the Commemorations of the National Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, which is being celebrated this year in Elvas, the President of the Republic was received in a ceremonial welcoming session held in the Municipal Cine-Theatre of this Alentejo city.
The President of the Federal Republic of Brazil, Dilma Rousseff, will visit Portugal on 10 June instant, at the invitation of President Cavaco Silva.
The President of the Republic will decorate, at the Commemorative Ceremony of the National Day of Portugal Camões and the Portuguese Communities, to be held on 10 June instant, the following individualities and institutions:

The President of the Republic presided, in the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, at the Award Ceremony of the “FAZ” – Innovatory Entrepreneurialism in the Portuguese Diaspora Prizes, and of the Prize for Portuguese Original Ideas, during which the prize winners’ names were announced.
