The President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva visited the Tropical Botanical Garden, in Lisbon, where they planted two trees on the day marking the 100th anniversary of the plantation of trees in the Garden by the first President of the Republic, Manuel Arriaga and his Wife.
Seminar in the Bank of Portugal
The President of the Republic presided at the Closing Session of the Seminar “Social Economy, Employment and Local Development”, promoted by Caritas Portugal, Centre for National Culture and IPI Consulting Network Portugal, held in the Auditorium of the Head Office of the Bank of Portugal, in Lisbon, during which he delivered an address.
Nicolás Maduro received in Belém
The President of the Republic received, in the Palace of Belém, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, at the beginning of his visit to Portugal. A meeting was held between both Presidents, later enlarged to include both countries’ delegations.
