The President of the United States of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, and his Wife, Mrs. Angélica Rivera, will journey to Portugal, on a State Visit to take place on 5 and 6 June next, at the invitation of President Cavaco Silva.
The visit will commence 0n 5 June, with the laying of a wreath on the tomb of Luis Vaz de Camões, in Jerónimos Monastery.
The Mexican President and his Wife will then be received, in the Palace of Belém, by the President of the Republic and Mrs. Cavaco Silva, followed by a working meeting between the two Heads of State
.
The programme for this day will also include a meeting with the Speaker of Parliament, and will end with a banquet to be held in the National Palace of Ajuda, hosted by the President of the Republic.
On the morning of 6 June, the President of the Republic, with his Mexican counterpart, will attend the closure of the Portugal-Mexico Economic and Entrepreneurial Seminar, which will bring together more than 300 Portuguese and Mexican entrepreneurs, and which will be an unique opportunity to engender contacts between both country’s’ companies, to identify business opportunities and as such, to contribute towards the strengthening of bilateral economic and trading cooperation. Several agreements and business instruments will be subscribed between both country’s’ corporations.
A meeting betwween the Presidnt of the Republic and the Portuguese Prime Minsiter will be hald on the same day.
