The President of the Republic will carry out an Official Visit to Bulgaria, at the invitation of the President of the Bulgarian Republic, Rosen Plevneliev, on 15 and 16 June instant.
During the visit, the President of the Republic will be received by the President of the Bulgarian Republic, by the Speaker of the Bulgarian Parliament, Tsetstka Tsacheva, and by the Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov. The President of the Republic will also hold a meeting with the Portuguese Community resident in the Country.
The visit will especially cover the economic, entrepreneurial and investment areas, and the President will attend, together with the President of Bulgaria, the Bulgaria-Portugal Entrepreneurial Forum, which will gather together Portuguese and Bulgarian entrepreneurs, and will approach business and investment opportunities, as well as the strengthening of cooperation between companies from both countries.
Emphasis will also be placed on cultural and linguistic features, and President Cavaco Silva will visit Sofia University where he will hold a meeting with the Chancellor, and view the exhibition “We, who descend from Orpheus”.
In this visit, the President of the Republic will be accompanied by Mrs. Cavaco Silva, by members of the Government, members of Parliament and an entrepreneurial delegation.
