The President of the republic will travel to Rome, at the invitation of the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, to take part in the closing session of the X Meeting of COTEC Europa, which will be held on 28 October next.
Promoted by the COTEC Entrepreneurial Associations for Innovation of Italy, Portugal and Spain, this meeting will be focused on innovation and on scientific and technological research, fundamental tools for encouraging the renewal of European industry: an industry which, to generate growth, employment and social progress, must continually strive to be more competitive and sustainable.
President Cavaco Silva will equally hold contacts with the Portuguese participants in the COTEC Europa meeting.
