The President of the Republic will travel to Coruña on 19 February, on the occasion of the award of the Gold Medals of the Atlantic Axis of the Peninsular Northwest, which will be held in that city. The medals will be awarded by the King of Spain and the President of the Republic.
During this trip, the President of the Republic will hold a bilateral meeting with the King of Spain.
The President of the Republic, together with the President of the Galician Junta, will witness the signature of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Adoption of Portuguese as a Foreign Language Option and Curricular Assessment in the Non-University Educational System of the Autonomous Community of Galicia. The Memorandum will be subscribed by Camões – Institute of Cooperation and Language, I.P. and the Galician Junta.
In this trip, the President of the Republic will be accompanied by Mrs. Cavaco Silva and by the Secretary of State for Regional Development, Dr. Manuel Castro de Almeida.
