Meeting in Dubai
In the second and last day of his official visit, the President of the Republic met with the Vice President, Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the United Arab Emirates and Emir of Dubai, Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The meeting was held in Zabill Palace and, at its end, President Cavaco Silva and the Emir of Dubai witnessed the signature of a Letter of Intent in the area of Defence between both countries, the signatories being the Minister of National Defence, Dr. José Pedro Aguiar Branco and the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of the Emirates, Anwar Mohammed Gargash.
