The President of the Republic visited the No. 3 Cavalry Regiment, in Estremoz, during his presence in this Alentejo County.
After receiving military honours upon arrival in the square facing the Regimental quarters, President Cavaco Silva visited the cloisters of the Convent of S. Francisco, viewing several areas of the military unit, and was hosted at lunch in the Chapter House.
In the regimental parade-ground, a photograph of the President was taken amongst many of the soldiers that are stationed there.
